Picking a family resort in Myrtle Beach comes down to a few practical questions. Will everyone fit in one room? Is there a kitchen, or are you eating out three times a day for a week? Is there something for the kids to do when the beach gets too hot? And what does the trip actually cost once you add it all up?

Suites that sleep six, and what “sleeps six” really means
We have more than 200 rooms and suites at 2710 N Ocean Blvd, in layouts that sleep two, four or six. Six is our largest, and it is worth understanding how that number is reached before you reserve.
Both of our six-person layouts use the living room as a second sleeping space. One puts a king bed in the bedroom and adds a Murphy bed plus a sleeper sofa in the living room. The other uses two queen beds in the bedroom with a Murphy bed in the living room, which tends to work better for two adults and a couple of kids who would rather not share one big bed.
In the middle, the Oceanfront Queen Efficiency sleeps four in two queen beds with a full kitchen, and a one-bedroom suite option sleeps four with a king in the bedroom, a sleeper sofa in the living room, and a bedroom door you can close once the little ones are down.
Every one of these has a private balcony. Our rooms are individually owned, so the decor varies from unit to unit, and the photos on our site are a sample rather than the exact room you will get.

A full kitchen is the part most families feel
Five of our six layouts include a real kitchen rather than a kitchenette. That means a refrigerator, an oven and a stovetop, plus a microwave, so you can cook a meal instead of reheating one. The only layout without a kitchen is the Ocean View King Hotel-Style Room, which still gives you a small refrigerator and a microwave.
For a family staying a week, this is the difference families notice most. Cereal on the balcony instead of a restaurant wait at 8 a.m. Sandwiches packed for the beach at noon. Dinner in on the night nobody wants to change out of a swimsuit. Three meals a day out for four or five people adds up quickly, and a kitchen takes a real bite out of that number.

When you would rather not cook, there is a breakfast buffet and relaxed evening dining on our second floor, a cafe on the ground floor serving Starbucks coffee in the morning, and a seasonal poolside beach bar. Details are on our dining page.
Pools, the beach, and what kids do all day
We are an oceanfront resort with direct beach access, so the beach is the main event. When your family needs a break from the sand, the resort has a large heated oceanfront pool, an indoor pool for a rainy afternoon, hot tubs, and a dedicated kiddie pool for the youngest swimmers. There is also an on-site fitness room with ellipticals, machines and free weights for whoever in the family still wants their morning workout.
Beyond the property, we are minutes from the Myrtle Beach Boardwalk, the Convention Center and the attractions along Ocean Boulevard. Our area guide covers what is nearby and what is worth the drive.
Free attraction tickets when you book direct
Guests who book directly with us get our Seasonal Fun Pass, an assortment of free tickets to popular Myrtle Beach area attractions included with the reservation at no extra cost, plus discounts on shows, rentals and activities.
The line-up rotates through the year, so what is included in July is not what is included in November. Check the current offers on the Seasonal Fun Pass page before you book, since that page always shows what is live for your travel dates.
For a family, this is the part of the trip budget that moves. Attraction admissions for four or five people are one of the larger line items on a Myrtle Beach vacation, and tickets that come with the room are tickets you are not buying at the gate.

Larger families, reunions and multi-generational trips
If your group is bigger than six people, you are booking more than one unit. We want to be straightforward about what that means.
We cannot guarantee that your units will be next door to one another or on the same floor. Specific rooms and floor requests are not guaranteed, so please do not plan around adjacent doors. What we can offer is space that works when a group is spread across a few units: suites with their own kitchens and living rooms so each household has somewhere to cook and gather, shared pool decks and beach access, and dining downstairs that everyone can walk to.
Grandparents who want a quiet king room and a family of five who need a kitchen and a Murphy bed can both be accommodated in the same resort on the same trip, which is usually the harder problem to solve.

Bringing the family dog
We welcome small dogs in select pet-friendly rooms on designated floors, and the rules are specific enough to check before you book. Dogs only, with no cats, birds or reptiles. A limit of two dogs per room, 20 lbs. per dog. The fee is $35 per day, per pet, collected by the front desk at check-in. Breed restrictions apply, dogs must be leashed in public areas, and they are not permitted in the pool areas. Advance notice is required, and ADA service animals are always welcome.

What to know before you book
A few practical things that families ask about, so there are no surprises at the front desk:
- Check-in is 4:00 p.m. and check-out is before 10:00 a.m. The lobby is staffed 24 hours a day. Entrance doors lock from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., and we send you the entry code before you arrive.
- Parking is free in the garage across the street, with one parking pass per room. Trailers are not permitted on the property, which is worth knowing if you are towing a boat or a bike rack trailer.
- We are a limited-service resort, so daily housekeeping is not provided. Towels come with your unit and are for in-room use. Families staying a week should plan around that rather than expect a daily turnover.
- Specific rooms and floors cannot be guaranteed. Requests are welcome, but book the layout you need rather than counting on a particular location.
- The property is strictly non-smoking, indoors, on balconies and in public areas.
- Guests under 21 are not admitted unless accompanied by an adult.
- A deposit equal to the first night is due at booking, refundable if you cancel at least 7 days before arrival, with a $50 administrative fee per cancellation.
